We built Sync for Us

After more than a decade of being involved with the Web, we were still hesitant to put anything of ours on to cloud storage services.
We ourselves had a fundamental problem.
We wanted to use online services to collaborate, share ideas and keep content synced across all our devices and teams. Yet, we were reluctant.
We were not going to accept, that our content is going to sit, on someone else’s servers, in essentially plain view. We wanted a guarantee that our content will be available only to us, and perhaps to the people that we wish to share with.
What most users do not realize is that existing cloud providers have full access to all your documents, files, photos, and shares. This is wrong. Providers should never be able to see your content, plain and simple.
We believe it’s possible to enjoy the convenience of cloud storage without giving up the privacy of your data.
We address this privacy problem in a fundamental way.
We made it impossible for us to be able to look at your data.
Whatever leaves your computing device leaves in an encrypted form and equally important, the keys to that encryption do not leave with the data. This is how we guarantee privacy of your content.
To us, privacy is more that just a feature, it’s our founding philosophy.
Privacy is not something you can simply ‘add on’. It forms our core. We are here to bring the privacy you expect in the real world to our connected lives. Privacy is a right we all enjoy, yet it’s being eroded as we use online services. We exist, to right this wrong.
We’ve designed Sync.us to be the simplest, most private and secure storage solution for all your important documents, photos, music, and videos — letting you work anywhere from any device.
Your content is valuable, private, and most importantly, yours. With Sync.us companies and individuals can finally enjoy the cloud without trading in privacy.
We built Sync for us — all of us, that is.
