How do I allow Sync to work with Norton?

Some firewall and Antivirus programs sometimes block Sync from working properly.

Here’s how to add Sync as an exception with Norton Security:

1. Open the Norton Control Panel

2. Click the ‘Gear’ icon at the top right corner of the menu (settings)

3. Click ‘Antivirus’ from the settings menu

4. Select the ‘Scans and Risks’ tab

5. Scroll down to the ‘Exclusions/ Low Risks’ options

6. Click ‘Configure’ next to ‘Items to Exclude from Scans’

7. Click ‘Add Folders’ and add the following folders from the exclusion list:
Your ‘Sync’ folder used for syncing
C:\Programs Files(x86)\Sync
C:\Users\*yourusername*\Appdata\Local\Sync.Logs
C:\Users\*yourusername*\Appdata\Local\Sync.Config

8. Click ‘Apply’ and then ‘OK’

9.Restart the computer
