Why is Sync CloudFiles for Mac in Beta?

Sync CloudFiles for Mac is in beta because some features from the non-CloudFiles app are not included in CloudFiles. The features not supported in CloudFiles are:

• External Hard Drive Support
• Custom Sync Folder Locations
• Copy to Vault from Finder
• Selective Sync

How do I know if I should use Sync CloudFiles Beta for Mac?

You should use CloudFiles Beta for Mac if you do not need to use an external hard drive or Selective Sync, and you are comfortable running beta software.

I upgraded to Sync CloudFiles, now Sync appears to be taking up more local storage, why?

When you upgrade to CloudFiles a new Sync storage location is created on your local drive. We will handle setting up the new location, but leave the old folder there just in case you still need it.
